Yesterday I received a surprise package in the mail. There was a note inside that said, “I love and cherish you my friend. Don’t you ever forget that the worlds needs you. Never, ever forget.”
Boy howdy did I need those words. I have been doing some scary stuff lately, putting myself out there for everyone to see. There is a vulnerability that comes with being seen, an openness that is required for people to feel and hear what you are saying.
I have been asking myself what would happen if we just stopped putting pressure on ourselves to perform or conform? What would the world look like if we created spaces where everyone was able to BE without fear of saying or doing the wrong thing?
What would happen if we could run with our instinct without worrying how others would react. What would we do differently?
